Specialty Programs
Developmental Team Program (formally Specialty Classes)
The developmental team program is based on the USA Gymnastics Junior Olympic Program. This Program consists of five levels; level one being the easiest and level five being the more difficult. Each level has specific skills and routines that the gymnast will be periodically tested on after they are mastered. As each level is passed, the gymnast will move up to the next level, learning more difficult skills and routines. This does not always necessarily mean that the gymnast must move class times, however. In addition, gymnasts not only work the skills and routines for the level they are trying to pass, but on skills in preparation for the higher levels as well. Strength and flexibility are a large focus of these groups, as we believe the stronger the gymnast, the more easily the skills can be achieved. The gymnasts in each of these programs are trained with competition readiness in mind. Elevate Gymnastics Academy begins formal competitions at Level two.
