Basic Gymnastics Classes (Levels 1, 2, & 3)
Building Confidence and Skill for Ages 6+
Our Basic Gymnastics track is the ideal foundational program for all children aged 6 and up in Elk Grove, CA, offering a clear, progressive path designed for continuous growth. Each level is a one-hour weekly class focused on building physical literacy, strength, and confident technique.
The Progressive Path to Mastery
The Basic track is structured to ensure every athlete, whether focusing on girls' or boys' apparatus, masters the fundamentals before moving on to more complex maneuvers:
Basic 1: The Foundation
This is the perfect starting point for all beginning gymnasts aged 6 and older. Students are introduced to core skills on all foundational events, including the vault, bars, balance beam, floor, and trampoline. We also introduce essential strength and flexibility exercises, giving every child the tools they need for long-term athletic success.
Basic 2: Intermediate Challenge
This intermediate level is for athletes who have successfully mastered the skills introduced in Basic 1. Gymnasts are challenged to learn more difficult skills, refine their technique, and significantly advance their strength and flexibility. This level prepares them for the advanced work in Basic 3.
Basic 3: Advanced Training
Our advanced level is reserved for those who have mastered all prior skills. Here, students focus on the most challenging techniques within the Basic curriculum, continuing to build the power and precision necessary for pre-team or recreational advancement.
Specialized Training for Boys and Girls
While the foundational levels share a core focus on strength and body awareness, our program recognizes the unique demands of each discipline. Boys in the Basic track begin to focus their work on men's gymnastics apparatus and techniques, while girls focus on women's gymnastics events.
Age: 6+ years old
Time: 60-minute class each week (basics 3 is 2-hour class each week)
Class Cost: $107 basics1&2 $164 basics 3 (25% discount for each additional sibling or class)
Annual Fee: $40 per student per year for insurance
